Shoot the Puck or Me

Ales Hemsky, what the hell is wrong with you? Is there a reason why you will not shoot the puck?? Hemsky had several opportunities in overtime last night against Ottawa. He had the puck on his stick for what seemed like an eternity. Guess what? He didn't shoot the puck, but he didn't pass it either. He circled the net, and with the Senators all on their asses.....nope, no shot or pass. Of course, he ended up losing control of the puck, and the Oilers ended up losing in the shootout. Another game in which they had a chance to win, and blow it.

The Oilers take Ottawa and Buffalo to overtime/shootout, yet can't beat Boston or Toronto. They are now 0-2-2 on the road trip. Bloody hell.

No news on the Smitty front. Is this guy going to resign? Will he be traded before the deadline if he's not? Lowe, you'd better get a pair of balls. Either resign him now or trade his ass. Step up and get it done.

To go from last year's playoff highs to this season's lows.....what a fall it has been.

Hemsky definately has a problem, but at least its not a new problem. Sadly, I still consider him a bright spot on this team...

He is a bright spot, no doubt. I can handle his endless passes, but not in overtime when you have a sure goal, or so it seemed.

I like Hemsky and I think he will be our superstar pretty soon. It's these growing pains that we must endure with him.

Well, do I bother going to the Mar. 3 game only to watch the Oil succumb to the Flamers? I'm tired of thinking positively. The Oil and KLo have given me no hope to think positive.

yes, you're going to the game with me! no excuses! (think of the pretzels)

Ya I thought he had one on the short side. Perhaps though his worse play was tring to win a 1-3 battle instead of passing the puck back to his defence to keep posession. Didn't get posession back for a good 2 minutes.

Oh yes, the pretzels. Mais oui!

Hemmer is emblematic of this entire team's season; so close on so many nights, but frustratingly so far away from actually closing the deal.

Bring up the kids now and shoot for a few more balls in the lottery machine.

You have to go to the game D. They aren't out of it yet, but if they are, we get to play spoiler.

Hemmer....it's really only his second year of success so I guess we'll give him more chances, but overtime, shoot the puck!!! I swear he gives me gray hair.
